Examination System
- Examinations are planned according to the ‘Regulations’ designed separately for these programs by the Academic Committee and approved by the Governing Council (GC) from time to time.
- The evaluation of all semester papers (courses), theory / practical and project dissertation shall be carried out in two parts, viz.
- Continuous internal evaluation and End semester external evaluation. 40% of total marks will be set apart for the first component and 60% for the second for theory courses.
- The Examination Cell will conduct all examinations and issue marklists with requisite security features.
- JNTU-KAKINADA University will issue the final degree certificate as per the directions contained in the UGC and Government.

- End Semester external examination shall be conducted for theory / practical papers (courses) as per the requirement of the course. The guidelines set by the Academic Council (AC) in the form of regulations shall be followed for the conduct and evaluation of the external examinations.
- At least two internal examinations per semester and one end semester examination shall be conducted. Remuneration for examination work shall be decided by the Finance Committee and should be approved bythe GC. Parity with the rates existing in the parent university will be ensured in the process.
Instruction to Invigilators
- The invigilators are required to be present in the examination cell at least 30 minutes before actual start of the examination.
- CARRYING MOBILE PHONES TO THE EXAMIATION HALLS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Please check and instruct the students to occupy their respective seats according to seating plan/arrangement.
- Check their hall tickets, identity cards and dress code. If violation of the above is observed immediately bring such students to the notice of Floor In-charges.
- Inform the students not to carry any text books, study material, slips, mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets and warn them that if found they will be confiscated and students will be debarred from examinations. Immediately inform to the respective floor in-charges/Examination officers.
- Distribute the answer books to the students before 15 minutes of the examination and ask them to fill all the details in the student information (PART-A) of answer book and also inform students to go through the instructions on the reverse of the student information sheet.
- Distribute the question paper to the students and follow instruction before starting the examination
- Invigilators are requested to handover the signature sheets to floor in-charges with in 30min after the commencement of the Examination
- Do not allow any student to wash rooms during the examination schedule
- Invigilator should present in the hall assigned for the entire duration of the exam i.e. 3hrs from the distribution of question papers.
- Invigilators signature is compulsory on all answer scripts otherwise the answer scripts will not be evaluated. Ensure that all the answer scripts are collected before leaving the hall.
- Submit the answer scripts to the CONTROL ROOM immediately after the examination
Instruction to Students
- Students are not allowed after half an hour of the commencement of the examination.
- Students cannot leave the examination hall in the first 1 ½ hour of the examination.
- Use blue/black ball point pen only.
- Fill the particulars in the “STUDENT INFORMATION” in PART-A of your answer booklet.
- Put your signature in the box provided in “STUDENT INFORMATION”.
- Students are not allowed to write in the PART-B.
- You are prohibited from writing the following in any part of the answer booklet (i.e in the white pages).
- Name
- Hall Ticket Number
- Religious Marks
- Tampered/ folded the answer booklets will not be evaluated.
- Do not address the examiner in any manner.
- Do not use sketch pens/highlighter pens/colour pencils in writing the answers and in drawing sketches.
- Write question number clearly in the left margin before answering a question.
- Write the answers on both sides of the papers (a maximum of 25 lines per sheet).
- Write the answers preciously, legibly and within the pages of answer book.
- No additional answer sheets will be issued.
- You should return the answer book to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
- The last page of the answer booklet is for “ROUGH WORK” if any.
