Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering
Sophisticated & Modernized Laboratories
VLSI LAB
VLSI applications are becoming more prevalent in everyday use. There is a constant need for designing systems with lower power, higher speed, and lower area. The VLSI lab is equipped with hordes of personal computers. The students enrich their knowledge using software tools like ModelSim, Xilinx, HDL Designer Pro, and Mentor Graphics.
PDC LAB
The linear IC laboratory has facilities for design, bread-board implementation, and performance measurement of circuit applications using commercially available operational amplifiers and linear/analog ICs. The main aim of this lab is to teach the linear and non-linear applications of operational amplifiers (741), and students are made familiar.
MPMC LAB
Microprocessor laboratory is equipped with 8085 microprocessor kits, interfacing devices, Macro Assembler and IBM PC’s. The students gain programming skills in 8085 Assembly Language and Interfacing with various devices such as Stepper Motor, Analog-to-Digital converter, Seven Segment display. The students have in depth knowledge in writing and executing 8086 Assembly Language programs with 8086 Macro Assembler
MICROWAVE & OC LAB
Microwave components and systems have significantly impacted our society. Department is motivated to work towards designing and analyzing microwave circuits, components, and sub-systems, including micromachined devices for RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave applications. Micromachined antennas, phase shifters, and filters are some such components.
IC APPLICATIONS LAB
The linear IC laboratory has facilities for design, bread-board implementation, and performance measurement of circuit applications using commercially available operational amplifiers and linear/analog ICs. The main aim of this lab is to teach the linear and non-linear applications of operational amplifiers (741). Students are made familiar
ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LAB
The students can study the characteristics of electronic components and measuring instruments. They can analyze the factors PN, and Zener diode, design rectifiers with and without filters, analyze transistor characteristics, the study frequency response of amplifiers, and measure.
DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LAB
The DSP lab has both software and hardware component. In the software part, students carry out several computer experiments written in C or MATLAB, illustrating some of the fundamental concepts and applications of digital signal processing, such as quantization, sampling, and aliasing, the design of
COMMUNICATIONS LAB
Communication Laboratory is catering to the needs of facilities in the communication field by training its students to make a valuable contribution. This lab is equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, cathode-ray oscilloscopes, Function generators & various kits for implementing and understanding Communication circuits/ techniques. It helps the students enhance their knowledge of communication techniques like AM, FM, PM, DSB-SC, SSB-SC, PAM, PPM, PWM, PCM, etc. The objective of this lab is to prepare its students with a good foundation in Communication.
